This particular event happened several years ago, a vast amount of schools was forced to change what they fed their children. Mainly because Jamie Oliver created enough publicity with his programme to appear pretty much on all news media, forcing some politicians to take him seriously and give in to his demands.
Sadly enough, people lost interest very quickly and it cost too much to feed children well, not to mention the necessity of training up the kitchen staff and attempting to pay them the same money as before.
It all died because it cost too much, if my memory serves me well. Not to mention the fact that children fought against being fed normal food.
If I go back and remember myself in their age, I must sadly admit that I had more pleasure from eating a McDonald’s hamburger, fries with a gallon of ketchup and similar. At the time, eating well meant satiating my uncontrolled and imbalanced, not to mention underdeveloped taste buds which did not have the ability to differentiate between shit and good food.
