Calls for a re-evaluation of the drug grew after a 17-year-old French girl jumped from a building after eating magic mushrooms during a school trip to Amsterdam in March.
Other incidents involving the drug have included an Icelandic tourist jumping from a balcony and breaking both legs and a Danish tourist driving his car wildly through a camping ground, narrowly missing sleeping campers.
“It’s a shame, the media really blew this up into a big issue,” said Chloe Collette, owner of the FullMoon shop, which sells magic mushrooms in Amsterdam.

i think that this is stupid. fist of all i feel that the Netherlands banning the sale of mushrooms is totally a double standard. I feel this way because they allow people to smoke weed anywhere they feel. In a way i think that the Netherlands is just conforming to the rest of the world beause that is the right thing to do. Over all i think that the dicision they made will bring down the number of tourists to the country over the next few years.

Celine- I wouldn’t go that far. On a semantic level we may want to ask ourselves whether anyone in the Western world has lived without trying drugs. i.e. caffeine, sugar, alcohol, tobacco, etc

Drugs are good
the only reason the government guys ban them is cus theyre not allowed to do them and they get jealous
